About Us

Dischromatics Ltd has been trading since 1989 and as the name suggests, the company was originally formed to fill a niche in the market providing printed floppy disks and also disk duplication. At the time, five and a quarter inch disks were the norm and we were the only company in the world with the ability to print photographic quality onto these disks.

Over time, the company has progressed through 3.5” disks and then into the CD-ROM and DVD Replication markets. State of the art CD-R and DVD-R/DVD+R duplication machines have also been acquired with thermal printers attached.

The company has also forayed into the Networking and Computer industries, but more recently has decided to concentrate on its core business of duplication and replication. Nevertheless this experience has helped us to understand and utilise the benefits of computer technology and ensures we remain ahead of the competition.

Dischromatics is also a Sony partner and has worked with Sony DADC since 2001. This close link to Europe’s biggest disc replicator means that we are able to supply amazing new products ahead of the competition.

Our exceptional products and outstanding track record with regards to customer service have enabled us to gain an excellent reputation in the industry and have led to key contracts with Blue-chip companies like LG, Panasonic, Lloyds TSB, Microsoft and Scottish Widows and fast-growing companies like Ayngaran International and Birchfield. About Sony DADC

Sony DADC has the highest daily capacity of CD and DVD production anywhere in Europe.  At their 2 plants near Salzburg in Austria (Anif and Thalgau plants), Sony DADC can produce 1,150,000 (1.15m) CD's per day, 1,200,000 (1.2m) DVD's per day and 270,000 CDR's and DVDR's per day.  They can also master 200 CD titles and 50 active DVD sides daily.

Sony DADC was founded in 1986 and has a reputation as a provider of top-quality products and innovative solutions such as bespoke packaging and dynamic copy-protection systems.  The company is also home to the replication of Playstation and UMD (Universal Media Discs) and has adapted the technology used in these areas to produce innovative solutions such as coloured vinyl effect CDs.

At the forefront of optical media storage, Sony DADC will also shortly be producing Blu-ray discs which have been backed by nearly all the major Movie Makers.  These discs are compatible with the new Playstation 3 games console and hold up to an amazing 50GB of data!

As the largest UK-based Sony partner, Dischromatics is able to save on the costs incurred by individuals through large volumes of business on a yearly basis.  Thanks to the close relationship, Dischromatics is also able to undertake cost-saving work on behalf of Sony (such as pre-verification of artwork) and therefore reduce end-users prices.

From Pontypool, Ystrad Mynach and Newbridge:

Take the A467 from the Newbridge Roundabout towards Newport and Cross Keys. Travel for approx. 2 miles through the 40-mph zone and straight over the next roundabout. Once the speed limit changes to 50-mph, the road bends left and opens out. Take the next right turn (after the left turn to Abercarn village) before the blue Fast Parts warehouse building (signposted Abercarn Industrial Estate). Follow the signs for Abercarn Industrial Estate as the road bends round to the right and past the Travis Perkins building. Take the next left into the industrial estate, immediately after the Post Office Sorting Office. Then take the second left at the end of the road. Dischromatics is located in the 3rd unit on your left-hand side

From the M4 at Newport:

Exit the M4 at Junction 28 and head North towards Brynmawr and Cross Keys on the A4072 (dual carriageway). At the first roundabout take the 3rd exit towards Cross Keys and Risca on the A467 (still dual carriageway). Stay on the A467 and head for Cross Keys. At the 3rd roundabout (end of dual carriageway) take the last exit (sharp right) staying on the A467 into the 50-mph zone. Stay on the A467 for 3 miles in the direction of Newbridge. After going straight on at the small roundabout, take the 3rd left, immediately after the blue Fast Parts warehouse building (signposted Abercarn Industrial Estate). Follow the signs for Abercarn Industrial Estate as the road bends round to the right and past the Travis Perkins building. Take the next left into the industrial estate, immediately after the Post Office Sorting Office. Then take the second left at the end of the road.
