Standard CDRs have a diameter of 120mm with a capacity of 74 minutes of audio and 650 MB of data but these days most are available with 80 minutes of audio and 700 MB for data burning, although it is possible to increase this further they would fall outside the Orange Book Standard.Dischromatics supplies CD Duplication and CD Printing services to companies all over the UK and Ireland and with the ability to produce CD and DVD packaging in-house are able to keep control of all aspects of cost and production allowing the company to supply at prices cheaper than suppliers who have to buy in the printed parts from third parties. This is the problem encountered by many suppliers and therefore their customers because they use normal uncoated inkjet discs when they are inkjet printing as they are cheaper.
These CDR discs are supposed to be lacquered after printing to seal the ink, however, this adds costs and there are health and safety issues so many suppliers fail to complete the correct printing process. We can also provide digitally printed labels (produced on-site) or simply blank CD Discs. All the media we use on site is genuine "Grade A" media, namely Sony DADC or Taiyo Yuden. We can also supply smaller volumes of duplicated and labelled 8cm recordable compact disc products. Regarding the quantities, it is more cost effective to have CD Duplication when there is a requirement for less than 1000 units, (although fully manufactured replicated Discs are available from 500 copies). Nevertheless, we will duplicate and reproduce larger volumes of CDs if the demand is more immediate. This also applies to DVD Duplication.At the end of the CD Duplication process, Each individual copy is verified as an in-built part of the reproduction process and checks are carried out randomly to ensure successful copying in compliance with our established ISO9001:2008 quality procedures.
