Replicated product is ideal for copying larger volumes of discs, and involves a complete manufacturing process, whereby discs are created and immediately "stamped" or "pressed" from a custom-made glass master, and finally printed with your individual artwork. (A checkdisk can be supplied prior to full replication). This gives an extremely high quality finish, and when combined with the packaging option that best suits your needs, is sure to provide you with the disc product you have been searching for.

Dischromatics can provide 12cm and 8cm "mini" CD-ROM replication as well as CD AUDIO replication and CD-EXTRA replication from 300 units. Please go to CDR Duplication for lower quantities or urgent requirements (8cm CDR duplication not available).

Replicated CD-ROM products are fully manufactured and professionally printed and packed by Sony DADC at Europe's largest disc pressing plant.

As well as supplying discs with offset-litho print, we can also supply specially coloured discs and exceptional dynamic copy-protection systems on all our CD (and DVD) replication products to avoid CD (and DVD) copying.

AUDIO CD REPLICATION

Audio Data Submission - Exabyte & DDP Delivery Formats

Both Exabyte and DDP formats can be accepted for use as master data, which ensures that premium quality is retained in the production process. After going to great lengths getting your audio mastered to the highest standard, you don't expect to suffer any reduction in quality; by submitting your master as digital data, you can cut out the possiblity of increased jitter sometimes associated with the use of CD-AUDIO's.  Potential for problems is also minimised thanks to Sony DADC's strict clean-room procedures at the glass mastering stage, resulting in rooms up to 10 times cleaner than an operating theatre!!

ISRC CODES & CD-TEXT

As an additional service for musicians and bands, Dischromatics can arrange for your ISRC codes and CD-Text information (artist and track names) to be inserted during the mastering process to ensure that this information appears on your replicated CD copies.  This service may incur a small surcharge on the standard replication rates, so please request this price when asking for a quotation.

CD-R DUPLICATION & PRINTING SERVICE

We can supply CD-R's copied to your master from one off to multiple runs. We offer a number of configurations: duplicated or blank CDR's with thermal or inkjet on-body printing, printed labels or just simply blank CDR's. Most forms of packaging are available as well as on spindle, in wallets, in CD cases and with or without paper parts.

Duplicated CD's are most economic for quantities of less than 500. CDR duplication involves copying the data from a customer master onto a blank CDR. The master data is read into our 'state of the art' CDR duplication systems, then copies are 'burned' onto blank CDR media. Each copy is verified during the process and random checks are carried out to ensure successful duplication. Even Copy-Protection is possible if you use SecureCD-R's!!

Coloured CDR Duplication and Printing

As an exciting additition to our duplication service, we are pleased to announce the arrival of coloured CDRs to our range.  These discs are coloured on both the top and underside of the disc and can be thermally printed in black (see image, right) to individual artwork. Although this product is likely to appeal mostly to audio customers to promote their latest release and grab attention on shorter production runs, this service is of course available to anyone wishing to purchase any typeCDRs! Additionally, we are now able to offer low volumes of digitally printed Card Wallets, Round Metal Tins and Clam Shells to all customers purchasing CDRs or DVDRs from Dischromatics. Please send us an enquiry by email or call us to discuss your requirements or to obtain a price.  We are happy to consider requests for mixes of coloured CDRs or packaging products on one single order to perfectly fit your needs and desires!!

Thermal Transfer & Retransfer Printing

Dischromatics has a number of thermal transfer and retransfer printers capable of printing simple black text designs quickly and cheaply (Thermal Transfer Printing on Rimage Prism printers) as well as complex black-only designs and colour designs (Thermal Retransfer Printing on TEAC P55 printers).  Both of these options offer our customers the widest choice and flexibility within a timescale and budget tailored to their needs.

Transfer printing means that ribbon ink is applied to discs through a direct heating process from the "strobe" within the printer whereas retransfer printing means that the ink (the single black panel, or 4 colour panels) are firstly heated onto a separate retransfer ribbon which is in turn applied to the disc.

In both cases the resulting print is permanent and water-resistant, although retransfer printing allows for a greater definition in the printed image and the retransfer ribbon application results in an attractive "sheen" on top on the disc, meaning that results of photographic quality can be obtained.  Naturally, retransfer printing is more costly than standard transfer printing, however retransfer printing can be supplied at much the same price as Watershield printed discs (below).

Inkjet Printing with "Watershield" Technology

Inkjet printed discs provide a similar looking effect to an offset printed disc but with the advantage of being able to be produced in low volumes.  In the past inkjet printed discs could only be protected from smudging by lacquering the discs after printing,  however a recent development in technology now allows recordable-media manufacturers to produce discs that are instantly waterproof after being inkjet printed.  This "Watershield" technology allows us to supply our customers with low-volume duplicated discs with a stable, high quality on-body print.

Waterproof CDR discs also have an appealing gloss finish to the surface of the disc, compared to the "duller" effect of a standard inkjet printed disc (to see this click the link below).

AB-CD / Shaped CD's / "Clear" Compact Discs

The overall size of the CD is still 12cm but the reflective layer covers only 8cm. The remaining space outside your "shaped" on-body print will be clear allowing you to print any shape you wish, giving the distinct impression of a shaped CD without any of the balance problems created when certain shapes are attempted.

As no weight or balance restrictions exist with an AB-CD, any shape is therefore possible, opening up a new world of creativity at an exceptionally low price.

For maximum effect the AB-CD can also be combined with special features like the Sniffle Disc or Watermark effects, and can be supplied in any packaging you choose.

Dischromatics Ltd can not only supply Blank Bulk Coated or Uncoated CD-R’s and CD-RW’s from Grade-A brand names like Taiyo Yuden and Sony, but can now supply CD-R’s Offset Printed in full colour or in special Pantone colours to your own specific artwork.
