Replicated product is ideal for copying larger volumes of discs, and involves a complete manufacturing process, whereby discs are created and immediately "stamped" or "pressed" from a custom-made glass master, and finally printed with your individual artwork.  (A checkdisk can be supplied prior to full replication).

This gives an extremely high quality finish, and when combined with the packaging option that best suits your needs, is sure to provide you with the disc product you have been searching for.

8cm DVD-5/DVD-9 & 12cm DVD-5/DVD-9/DVD-10/DVD-ROM/DVD-Video DVD Replication

Dischromatics can provide fully manufactured 12cm DVD-5, DVD-9 and DVD-10 discs from 500 units and 8cm DVD-5's (1.46GB) or 8cm DVD-9's (2.66GB) from 1000 units.  For lower quantities and urgent requirements please go to DVD-R duplication. (8cm DVD duplication not available).

Replicated DVD-ROM products are manufactured, professionally printed and packed by Sony DADC at Europe's largest disc pressing plant.

As well as supplying discs with offset print, we can also supply specially coloured DVD's and exceptional dynamic copy-protection systems and specials like Pit-Logo and Sniffle Effects on all our replicated DVD (and CD) products.

Unlike most other companies, our prices are always inclusive of costs that competitors often try to hide such as Glass Mastering, Films, Packing and Delivery.

Duplicated DVD's are most economic for quantities of less than 500. DVDR duplication means burning data from a master DVDR to blanks. Masters are read into our new ‘state of the art’ duplicators and then copies are ‘burned’ onto blank DVD media. Each copy is verified during the process and random checks are carried out to ensure successful duplication.  Our machines are also able to burn dual-layer DVDR's with a capacity of 8.5GB.

Additionally, we are now able to offer low volumes of digitally printed Card Wallets, Round Metal Tins and Clam Shells to all customers purchasing CDRs or DVDRs from Dischromatics.

Thermal Transfer & Retransfer Printing

Dischromatics has a number of thermal transfer and retransfer printers capable of printing simple black text designs quickly and cheaply (Thermal Transfer Printing on Rimage Prism printers) as well as complex black-only designs and colour designs (Thermal Retransfer Printing on TEAC P55 printers).  Both of these options offer our customers the widest choice and flexibility within a timescale and budget tailored to their needs.

Transfer printing means that ribbon ink is applied to discs through a direct heating process from the "strobe" within the printer whereas retransfer printing means that the ink (the single black panel, or 4 colour panels) are firstly heated onto a separate retransfer ribbon which is in turn applied to the disc.

In both cases the resulting print is permanent and water-resistant, although retransfer printing allows for a greater definition in the printed image and the retransfer ribbon application results in an attractive "sheen" on top on the disc, meaning that results of photographic quality can be obtained.  Naturally, retransfer printing is more costly than standard transfer printing, however retransfer printing can be supplied at much the same price as Watershield printed discs (below).

Inkjet Printing with "Watershield" Technology

Inkjet printed discs provide a similar looking effect to an offset printed disc but with the advantage of being able to be produced in low volumes.  In the past inkjet printed discs could only be protected from smudging by lacquering the discs after printing,  however a recent development in technology now allows recordable-media manufacturers to produce discs that are instantly waterproof after being inkjet printed.  This "Watershield" technology allows us to supply our customers with low-volume duplicated discs with a stable, high quality on-body print.

Waterproof DVDR discs also have an appealing gloss finish to the surface of the disc, compared to the "duller" effect of a standard inkjet printed disc (to see this click the link below).
